Tuesday Quick Tips for Writers

I’m head’s down and working to a deadline on a couple of chapters so can’t stop by for long. Suffice to say, today I have two quick tips for writers:

  1. Watch your workload - it’s all too easy to say yes and find yourself drowning under demands that distract from your writing. I know, I know mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa, which is why I’m offering these 2 brief tips and not a longer post on characterisation.

  2. Avoid placing your desk/laptop/computer where you can be distracted by the mesmerising sight of spring flowers unfurling delicate petals in the rare, pale, sunshine.
